The move to more natural ways of healing sometimes makes it seem as though science is the enemy. But Laurent Moy, with a diploma in engineering and a PhD from the Natural Product Chemistry Institute, has used his science background to explore the intricacies of aromatherapy, a form of healing that will be your new health companion, something as effortless as the apparel you wear and as simple as the air you breath. Moy’s research has led to the creation of AromaCare, a new health companion for aromatherapy that’s the world’s first connected essential oils diffuser. With AromaCare, there’s no need for you to be an expert in aromatherapy because the principle is simple: it works when you activate the capsules that you clip inside the oil diffuser. The Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign has a goal of raising $59,507 by February 13. A successful crowdfunding campaign will make sure that aromatherapy is accessible to everyone who wants to feel better without getting a prescription from the doctor. AromaCare has created six capsules for the ultimate in health and simplicity; each capsule contains only essential oils encapsulated in microbeads and allows thirty 20-minute aromatherapy sessions.
Containing a highly specific blend of essential oils designed to treat specific ailments, the capsules relieve users of having to figure out which essential oil is the right one, or how many drops should be used, or what dosage is correct. All you need to do is decide what you’re looking for: do you want something calming or something invigorating? Each capsule can be used when you feel the need or as part of your daily treatment. Just activate the capsule that suits what you need—sleep, calming, a tonic, a memory aid, breathing, and allergy relief—and start your session either with or without your smartphone.
AromaCare follows a specific cycle of intensity modulations that’s based on the program associated with an individual capsule. The sleep program diffuses by helping you fall asleep, or can be activated when you’ve suffering from a bout of insomnia. The tonic capsule has lemon, rosemary, lemongrass, cypress, cinnamon, clary sage and mint to awaken your senses first thing in the morning if you program the diffuser for intense release just 20 minutes before you get up in the morning.
The capsules contain only 100% organic essential oils. The sleep capsule contains lavender, ylang ylang, sweet and mandarin orange, marjoram, and petitgrain. The next time you’re sniffly and stuffed up from a cold, try the breath capsule, which heals with rosemary, eucalyptus radiate, niaouli, peppermint, and Sylvester pine.
Moy, who created his first company in 1998 after working at the Pierre Fabre Laboratories, has set a goal of developing a new technology for natural health care. AromaCare, which was more than a year in the making, is the world’s first Wi-Fi-enabled, fully connected essential oil diffuser. Aromatherapy serves as a complement to medical treatment; in fact, it’s used in hospitals as a nonmedicated treatment (TNM). The six capsules have been tested in reputable hospitals and health facilities, bringing a natural touch to the medical environment.
You can use AromaCare with your smartphone by downloading and installing the AromaCare application that’s available at no cost through Playstore or the AppStore. Just run the application and follow the instructions; press the button and it’s automatically detected by the smartphone. It can also be used manually without the smartphone by inserting the capsule you’ve chosen and pressing the device at the top to start the session.
The nose really does know! All you need to do is wake up and smell the oil, blend science and health with AromaCare, and feel a lot better.
