BevSpice is a company with the unique idea to make spices for peoples drinks. It is original as it is not just for beers and not mixed in at a plant. The company feels that it is better to let their customers decide how much spices to use to set the flavoring just right for each individual drink. The other thing that makes the idea unique is that it is for all drinks with a fizzy side or carbonation that it works with, not just one brand or one type of beverage. Gaurang Gala is the president of the company based in Jersey City, NJ. He has had 8 years in management experience and management consulting experience which he used to learn from to platform his own company off of. As a child he grew up in India and would drink spiced lemonade. In a recent trip to India he had rediscovered it for himself and found its lack of availability in the USA and the chance to bring culture around the world. He envisions the ability of bringing things to new markets that are not available as a method to help promote the economy. This is why he is bringing the packaging to the United States adding jobs. Having the production in the area where they are being sold Gaurang Gala figures will lower the price when they sale.
Sean Ryan is the companies’ beer connoisseur and sales strategist. He is also a Jersey City native and has a degree in media and communications. He was approached by Gaurang to help him make a strong selection of spice mixes. He had apparently not only helped in finding mixes of spices he helped with coordinating the Kickstarting campaign to start the company. He is the one that has been working on promoting the company and working hard to make sure that promises that are made are kept. Most communication that travels through the marketing goes through Sean.
The company is using this Kickstarter to more build on their first order of supplies rather than their initial startup process meaning that they have the ability to make a quick turnaround on the investments received. If they are able to make their goal the company would become self-sufficient to bring in the spices that they need in the future on their own dime. But with how the market works BevSpices needs to first place a large bulk order to even get a discount that will give them the margin to grow on. This crowdfunding campaign is more about the actual costs of starting up production rather than working with a company that is still in the idea phase. There are many reasons to use crowdfunding one of which is to find where there is a good demand and where to market the products. It also helps by allowing the producer to focus on a demographic from what they found with the crowdfunding itself.
